  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 4 hamburger buns toasted (optional)
  • Optional toppings: sliced pickles shredded cheese, coleslaw

Method
 

  1. Prep Ingredients:
    Chop the onion and bell pepper, and mince the garlic.
  2. Cook Ground Beef:
    In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef for 5–6 minutes, breaking it apart until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Sauté Vegetables:
    Add the chopped onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook for 3–4 minutes until soft and fragrant.
  4. Make the Sauce:
    Stir in ketchup, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and brown sugar. Mix well.
  5. Simmer:
    Reduce heat to low. Simmer the mixture for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Assemble:
    Spoon mixture onto toasted buns. Add toppings if using.
  7. Serve:
    Serve hot with chips, pickles, or a side salad.
